Hey everyone,

First off let me say thank you to Raph and everyone for voicing thier opinions to wizards at KL. Due to the nature of the formation of our union, we need to establish certain guidelines (Bi-laws) in which we are established to be taken seriously. We have two groups of people in this union (Pros, and Joes) and we need to be able to adhear to both of them. We also have one of the most diverse cultures in the world, but we are within ourselves a culture. We represent people ...

When WOTC cut the MSS I was absolutely devastated. Many of my closest friends became even closer by traveling around the country and playing magic. I had friends and relationships with people all across the east coast. Now it would seem that WOTC has driven a stake into my heart by canceling the MSS. I absolutely support the Mtg Players Union 100%. I am willing to do whatever it takes to make magic what it once was. Count me in to help with everything!

I've been playing Magic for over 13 years of my life with a modest number of tops eights in the past few years. While the amount of money offered on the pro tour is not of the greatest concern to me, the escalating expenses that have been passed onto the competitive/casual player base concern me greatly.

For many years, we've had 'crises' where players drifted away from the game, and were replaced. I was never worried.

But an alignment of various circumstances, especially the number ...

The Player's voice

I think this is an excelente idea.

The player's voice, the vox populi, must be heard.

Why?

Because in my opinion, WotC is making bad assumptions in what is the best for the players.

(They 've made some good assumptions before, like the airfare prize in PTQ's)

You cant's design good incentives (is all about how you do that) if you don't what motivates the players, what they think, what they prefer.

That's why i think that the player should organize more, and this is a first step.

You have my support. If more people could be more trained on figuring out how to do filming and perspective correctly, we would have more GP and independent coverage of events on a lot of video sites.

So far we are limited to just a few snips of what we would've been actually able to film on site at most places due to most featured matches being roped off to the recorder to film most of what was going on the tables other than just the fronts or backs of the player's heads. GP text is fine, ...

There is nothing I look forward to (except for semester classes to end) more than a Pro Tour webcast. Whenever they do it in Japan, I lose SO much sleep over it but I DONT CARE! I absolutly love to watch them. And if my hero's are not there I will kick and scream!

But hey in all seriousness I really support everyone here. Even if I am presented in terms of a simple tally mark or number in the total registered participants here, I am with you guys all the way.

I encourage everyone to remember that there are also fans out here as well. I will probably never play a pro tour, but I do watch pro tours online. Despite the fact that I have no interest in playing in any of the pro tours that are represented right now I was very upset by the cutbacks in the pro tour. I sent an e-mail to BDM about such saying that I think Magic is killing any chance it has to be something like poker with actual fans if they continue on the course they are. So it's not just ...
